In 2018, female founders only received only 2.2% of venture capital funds. Considering we make up more than 50% of the population, this statistic is beyond warped and needs to be fixed. Together we can do it.

The revolution for body positivity has begun!  Photoshop free, plus size, trans, and people with disabilities featured in imagery is the rising new norm.  Fashion will be forever changed.  There is no going back. Get on board.

Global awareness in manufacturing transparency is on the rise. We must all consider the ethical implications of the treatment of our workforce. Ensuring factory employees are treated right is the future of consumerism.

People are always talking about diversity, but inclusion matters too. Start the conversation and get people motivated to share who they are by integrating inclusion in your DNA.  Include your customers journey in your story.

More does not equal better.  Make quality the deciding factor. Buy things to last & don't consume mindlessly.

 

The fashion industry needs to adopt a new model and a new normal and consumers do too. Fast fashion and the cycle at which we consume new apparel is on the verge of changing in a major way. Be part of the change instead of the problem.

The fashion industry is the third most polluting industry in the global economy.  Footwear and apparel account for an estimated 8% of global greenhouse gasses.  Only 15% of consumers recycle their used clothing.

Differently

Be willing to pay more for a product that lasts longer, that has a greener impact and a more sustainable supply chain

 

Think about all the ways you can reduce, reuse, and recycle and then do them.  Tell your friends.

 

Donate your clothes to charity or do a clothes swap with your gal pals. Buy reusable shopping bags. Invest in new items carefully. Do everything you can and don't think what we do today doesn't matter tomorrow because it does.

It's always been easier for women to raise their voice in support of others. For so long we've been using the term "diversity" but what does that mean without inclusion? Nothing. 

In recent years we've seen valiant efforts by all different companies to actively include.  For years, minorities have been outcast from advertising and have felt like outsiders looking in.  Social media has changed the way we connect to the world now. Quiet voices are now amplified through networks of diverse followers that have also struggled with feeling ignored in the past. Now we share our struggles with open and honest messaging to help others understand how to connect to us. 

This is the new call for beautifully authentic marketing featuring everyone under the sun.  People that are disabled, non-binary, hairy, bald, and all different body types.
